What Now?

« Brida! |Main| Listless and Dazed »

Late as usual, due to unforeseen circumstances. Thank goodness for the internet, I was able to watch the missed performances. But let me start off by saying -- What the heck are they doing to Cat Deeley??? I mean, she is absolutely gorgeous but it doesn't mean that should have her wear anything they like. Goodness. Some of the dresses make her look like she's part of the circus. Poor thing.

Recap and Videos
Note: Videos from MJ and Rickey.

Kherington Payne* and Twitch* - Hip Hop - I am on the fence on this one. I didn't love it. I thought that the routine sold them short. They could've pushed Twitch a bit more. His auditions were far more creative than this routine. I thought Kherington did a pretty decent job, although she reminded me of White Chicks. The bad -- I thought Nigel & Mary were pimping these two. They are good. The routine was so-so. I don't think the performance was killer.

Courtney Galiano and Gev Manoukian* - Rumba - I thought these two did a really good job. The judges were extremely pleased as well. In my opinion, this is their best performance so far. The first two performances seemed like they were missing something. This felt a bit more dramatic -- probably, partly because of the type of dance.

Comfort Fedoke and Chris Jarosz - Jazz - I love Tyce but I did not get this one. I figured that one or both of them would be going home after this routine.

Jessica King and William Wingfield* - Disco - I'm a William Wingfield fan, disco is one of my least favorite dances, and I was a bit annoyed with the rehearsal video. However, I actually enjoyed that routine. Maybe, because of Will? I did notice the minor slips they did but I still liked it. Adam S said something about/to Jessica that I hope she listens to. I hope she starts taking this contest *more* seriously.

Kourtni Lind* and Matt Dorame - Contemporary - I really loved this routine and thought that it was executed beautifully. It was so fun and interesting, and I keep wondering why these two keep landing on the bottom 3.

Chelsea Traille and Thayne Jasperson* - Quickstep - Eh. I don't really like the Quickstep and didn't enjoy this routine as well.

Chelsie Hightower* and Mark Kanemura* - Hip Hop - Aside from the cheesy chest popping that's supposed to represent a heart beat, I loved this routine. I think Chelsea Hightower is one of the underdogs in this competition.

Katee Shean* and Joshua Allen* - Samba - The judges said it. What's great about Katee is that she doesn't over-exaggerate her movements. Joshua has a natural rhythm when he dances -- I think not only for the Samba but for any type of dance. Aside from a few other couples in the competition, these two have amazing chemistry as well. I loved it.
