What Now?

« Miserable |Main| Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey -- Hitched! »

Okay, so I couldn't resist. I had to post.

American Idol Recap
With two songs to perform each, the judges were set to comment after the second number. This week, the idol contestants perform the songs of Neil Diamond.

First Set

  • Jason Castro - "Forever in Blue Jeans"
  • David Cook - "I'm Alive"
  • Brooke White - "I'm a Believer"
  • David Archuleta - "Sweet Caroline"
  • Syesha Mercado - "Hello Again"

Second Set

  • Jason Castro - "September Morn"
  • David Cook - "All I Ever Really Need is You"
  • Brooke White - "I Am...I Said"
  • David Archuleta - "America"
  • Syesha Mercado - "Thank the Lord for the Night Time"

Alas. After the first set, Ryan Seacrest unexpectedly (it seems) asked for the judges quick critique on the first round of performances. Wow. Paula Abdul was brilliant. She could be psychic. Or not!

What??? The show is rigged???

Too funny. The extremely fazed judge gave a negative critique on Jason Castro's second song before he had even performed it. She ended with: "The two songs made me feel like you're not fighting hard enough to get into the top four." At that point, Simon & Randy appear horrified as the audience's giggles (more like cracking up) get louder. Randy reminds Miss Abdul that they've only performed one song. Ha! You wouldn't think it could get worse. Paula Abdul replies with "I thought you--Oh my god, I thought you sang twice!...You know what, this is hard! You know what, I'm looking at, it's your notes, David (Cook). You were fantastic." Hahahahahahahaha!

Not only that -- the top 4 song spoilers came out earlier than usual (Read MJs Big Blog). They even mention it during the result show. This is possibly their way of shifting the focus from the judging mishap...to other topics which may bring more excitement to the viewers. Or not.

The Top 4 Song Choice theme will be songs from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

And...for more damage control...Ryan Seacrest interviews Paula Abdul so they can EXPLAIN what had happened! Teehee! I LOVE this show!!!

Sidenote: They should have a Paula Abdul week!

Dancing With The Stars
I might have accidentally fallen off the DWTS bandwagon. I just don't think the show is as interesting or exciting as it used to be.

The last couple to go are Shannon Elizabeth & Derek Hough. Rumor has it that these two share an off-screen romance as well. See for yourself:
