Earth Day is held annually during spring in the northern hemisphere, and autumn in the southern hemisphere. I hope today inspires awareness of and appreciation for the Earth's environment. You don't have to be an extreme eco-activist to participate.

There are little things you can do every day to help the environment.
- Recycle what you can: paper, plastic containers, cans, old electronics.
- Plant trees and other plant life when and where you can.
- Pay attention to your water consumption.
- Change your regular light bulbs to Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFLs) - they even last longer.
- Turn off lights and other electronics when not in use.
- Clean/replace your home air filters.
- Walk/bike to work or carpool.
- Maintain your vehicle - make sure it is properly tuned up & the tires are properly inflated. This allows it to run more efficiently and generate fewer harmful gases.

The only acceptable exception to that is when a person who normally comments under their own name needs to comment anonymously for clear professional or personal reasons.
