St. Patrick, born in Roman Britain, is the patron saint of Ireland. He was kidnapped at the age of 16, and taken to Ireland as a slave. He escaped but returned sometime after 431 to convert the Irish to Christianity.

May the blessings of St. Patrick be with you today and everyday!

Legend also credits Saint Patrick with teaching the Irish about the Holy Trinity by using the shamrock, a 3-leaved clover, using it to highlight the Christian belief of 'three divine persons in the one God'.
