I had no idea that the Guinness World Records had an entry for the "World's Fastest Texter".
Ever since the first Short Message Service (SMS) message was sent in 1992, text-messaging has been a widely-used means of communication.
The text message used was:
The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.
James Trusler of Britain held the world record. His record time was one minute and seven seconds.
Today, I read that the current record has been broken. A Scottish factory worker has been crowned the world's fastest text-messager by typing the message in just 48 seconds.
