Yesterday, the Mothership sent out several UPS packages to Softies containing either an offer or a termination notice. I received mine yesterday.
It's a bit strange thinking that I used to work for the Mothership. It's been a year since I was cast to the Adversary. Although their Adversary has treated me well in the past year, I'm happy to be back. The battle between the two rivals ended last month when my new commander decided to wave the white flag after an 18-month saga. The Mothership had intended and succeeded with ending 2004 with a Big Bang.
I know that somehow I'll be here to experience the roller-coaster rides again. But, I am keeping fingers (and toes) crossed this time.
