Most of us have friends who were, are, or want to be musicians. According to common definition, a musician is someone who plays or composes music. I think the concept of being a musician is not only culture-specific, but also dependent on how s/he treats his/her music. Does s/he sing or play music with his/her heart? Does s/he write songs because it's his/her job? Does s/he play a musical instrument because s/he just knows how? Does s/he want to "make it" in the music business because of "fame and fortune"?
I've always loved listening to music as well as playing it. I have no plans of "making it" into the music business. I do know some people who have the talent and ambition to break into the business. I also know some people who want to make it but…I’ll just keep my mouth shut. Heehee.
Recently, I've had the chance to listen to one of my friend's demo songs. It's pretty good, quite laid-back. If you like alternative rock/pop music, you'll probably appreciate his music.
